As we slowly meander into summer, dreaming of warmer days and lighter nights and eating al fresco, its super exciting to see the evolvement of interior design into a more summer vibe.
At JM World Design our natural classic way of designing the interior of a home or superyacht tends to match the age and design of the property itself.
Leaning more towards neutral colours in the summer as the base colour, we like to mix and match accessories to add accents of colour and especially in the summer, plants and flowers are a beautiful addition and add colour and beauty to any room.

We are big believers in less co-ordination and more mix and match this year. A mix of unusual patterns and mixed fabrics creating a contrasting look. Beautiful Lace fabrics contrasted against bold heavier fabrics that has the potential to clash, however when completed correctly, the result can be iconic!
Fringed trims and tassels, braiding and tie backs are back with a bang this year and fully on trend. This style comes back around every few years mainly with minimum paired down interior style is the statement design of the home.
Statement pieces such as unique lamps and lampshades that are sourced from our “treasure hunting” trips (an ideal day to JM World Design is seeking out rare and unusual home accessories in antique type shops) creating a unique vibe to your space.

Dining outside is hugely important this season. As Europe’s temperature rises, the residents of this seasonal climate enjoy the warmer air summer brings and all head outside to enjoy al fresco dining. We keep the design simple and classic with lots of green climbing plants and wicker is always a favourite and a classic element to your outside space.

When it comes to a timeless feel, nothing beats light-reflecting white walls, especially if you’re considering selling your home down the line.
To avoid a colder feel, you can think about alternatives that are close to the real deal, but much more gentle and less abrasive. Like dove grey for a warmer, less clinical feel that almost has a non-colour appeal to it. This way you’ll be able to bring in the best interior design spring trends without having to go completely experimental. This gives you freedom to accessorise with sumptuous fabrics, decadent fringing and one off furniture pieces and lighting.
